Established in 1989, Inspection and Quality Services (IQS) was formed to provide services in project quality management, engineering inspection, NDT and training on a worldwide basis to engineering, mining, manufacturing, oil, gas and petrochemical industries.

Since inception, the capability of IQS has developed to provide a wide range of specialised services in accordance with ISO 9001: 2008 and ISO 17020 general criteria for the operation of various types of bodies performing inspection.

As a result of continuous development and market research, IQS is accredited by AWS, Lloyd’s Bureau of Shipping and Bureau Veritas, and is favourably positioned to offer clients a range of services.

Offshore project quality management, expediting and inspection

IQS offers project quality management, expediting and inspection for the offshore industry, utilising internationally qualified inspection personnel CSWIP, PCN, API, and SAIW.

Paint inspectors and corrosion-protection advisory services

IQS paint inspectors and corrosion-protection advisory services utilise internationally qualified NACE, CSWIP and PCN personnel.

Wire rope inspection and conveyor belt condition monitoring

IQS provides wire rope inspection and steel braid conveyor belt condition monitoring, utilising patented state-of-the-art weak magnetic induction field technology.

Offshore asset management and maintenance

IQS provides a range of asset management and maintenance services, risk-based inspection (RBI) and current best-practice methodology, as per the guidelines PAS BS 55-1 and PAS BS 55-2.

We also offer metallurgical consulting, stress analysis and failure investigations.

Welding services and training for the offshore industry

IQS can develop welding procedures, and welder qualification and training to ASME, BS, AWS, ASNT and API standards.

Pressure vessel and system inspection, recertification and design

IQS provides pressure vessel and pressurised system inspection, recertification, and design reviews to ASME Section VIII, Division 1 and 2; BS 5500; ANSI B31.1; ANSI B31.3; AD-Merkblatt; Technical Rules Dampfkessel (TRD).

SHEQ management system services

IQS can provide and customise ISO 9001, 14001 and 18000 (SHEQ) management system development, in-house training and open courses, and Q-Pulse software.
