Meccanica Gervasoni provides high-precision mechanical machining services such as ball valve turning, milling, boring, polishing and lapping, in addition to spherical and plain geometry grinding and specialised engineering processes for pipes sized between 3in and 68in.

Meccanica Gervasoni’s series of components includes ball valves, side entry bodies and closures, slabs and bodies for slab valves, shutters and bodies for expanding gate valves, and bodies for top entry valves and nozzles for nuclear applications. The company also maintains large pumps, impellers and turbines.

Using modern machinery with computer numerical multi-axis control (CNC), Meccanica Gervasoni ensures a high standard of quality.

Inconel 625, F316L and 2205 Duplex cladding and welding overlay

Meccanica Gervasoni has welding processes and welders certified in accordance with ASME IX, and provides gas metal arc welding (GMAW), gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW) and submerged arc welding (SAW) processes, in automatic, semi-automatic and manual modes.

The company has a wide range of approved procedure qualification records (PQR) in accordance with large number of international cladding specifications for various applications. Inconel 625, F316L, Incoloy 825 and 2205 Duplex are the most frequent filler materials applied in its welding processes.

Meccanica Gervasoni provides technical assistance and component design, as well as creating new welding procedure specifications (WPS) and PQR, according to the specifications of the client.

Thermal spray, tungsten and chrome carbide spray HVOF coating

With its own automatic, special sandblaster and coating equipment, Meccanica Gervasoni demonstrates its expertise in HVOF spray coating valves and performs high-quality thermal spray coating with tungsten or chrome carbide for thicker components (more than 400µm).

The company has a dedicated laboratory for process quality control with bond tests, porosity measurements, micro hardness tests and metallographic tests.

Maintenance and pipe coating for large heat exchangers

Meccanica Gervasoni applies its welding processes for coating with Inconel 625 pipes for large heat exchangers. The company has developed specialised equipment to perform automatic welding overlay for pipes of various diameters and lengths.

Production and inspection test control system

Meccanica Gervasoni has created smartMG, a system that controls production and inspection test plans in real-time via a PC, smartphone or tablet.

The company has a team of engineers that is Level II qualified for non-destructive tests in accordance with UNI EN ISO 9712, SNT-TC-1A ED. 2011 and UNI EN 473 E ISO 9712 for dye absorption, magnetic, hardness, ultrasonic, PMI and visual tests.
