It contains the same herbicide sites of action as Resicore, but the new formulation builds upon Resicore herbicide by featuring improved tank mix compatibility, increased crop safety, and application flexibility on corn greater than 24 inches tall to control more than 75 broadleaf and grass weeds, according to Corteva Agriscience officials. “Resicore Rev also offers eight weeks of residual activity and provides control of the toughest broadleaf and grass weeds, including waterhemp, Palmer amaranth, marestail, and giant ragweed,” says Nick Burke, Corteva U.S. corn herbicides product manager. The crop safety of Resicore Rev herbicide is enhanced by encapsulated acetochlor, says Eric Scherder, Corteva U.S. crop protection launch leader. Another feature of Resicore Rev herbicide is greater tank mix compatibility compared with previous formulations with products like UAN and ammonium thiosulfate (ATS), Scherder says. “The technology we’re using with encapsulated acetochlor brings crop tolerance, but at the same time, after an application, that product is available in the soil for residual preemerge control,” says Scherder. “2024 has been quite a challenging year. Storms and heavy rainfall have plagued many of our states, which has delayed planting and herbicide application timing. Having that wide application window from pre-plant all the way up to 24 inches gives growers that peace of mind knowing that they don’t have to try to switch out a herbicide program mid-season because we've already gone past the growth stage,” adds Scherder. Resicore Rev herbicide will be available for growers to include in 2025 weed control plans.
