Tires keep your operation literally moving forward, and this year brought new offerings to several tire brands.

Continental

Continental broadened its agricultural tire portfolio for the TractorMaster and CompactMaster AG/EM product lines.

TractorMaster tires are now available in a 600/70R34 size, which can be used as a front tire in combination with specific other tire sizes. TractorMaster 620/70R42 rear tires are expected to enter the market soon.

CompactMaster, initially available in size 460/70R24 now also comes in 500/70R24. The CompactMaster AG is designed for agricultural applications, while the CompactMaster EM is tailored for hard-surface usage.

"With the size 500, we are meeting the demand from our customers, as well as responding to the trend toward larger vehicles and diverse operational requirements," says Ivonne Bierwirth, head of business field agricultural tires for Continental.

Nokian Tyres

Nokian is looking ahead to winter with two new sizes of the Hakkapeliitta TRI model, now available for compact tractors and compact loaders.

Already available in more than 30 sizes, the 400/70R18 and 250/80R16 are available now.

“The winter performance is where these tires really stand out,” said Tero Saari, Nokian Tyres Product Manager. “With its excellent grip, the tire has no problems even in the most demanding snow removal, but it does not compromise on all-season durability either.”

Hakkapeliitta TRI tires feature low-rolling resistance, which can mean reduced fuel consumption and reduced noise levels. More information can be found at www.nokiantyres.com/hakkapeliittatri

Vredestein

In its first appearance at American farm shows, European-made Vredestein Tires showcased two agricultural tires, the Traxion and the Endurion.

“Our unique lug design sets us apart from the competition, delivering superior performance, lifespan, and ROI compared to our competitors,” said Abhishek Bisht, Vredestein Assistant Vice President, Americas.

The Traxion family of agricultural tires is designed to provide excellent traction with low soil compaction, according to the company. The unique tread compound and high rubber content create up to 30% better wear resistance, meaning lower overall operating cost per acre.

The Endurion line of trailer tires will enter the market later in 2023. These tires use a unique tread compound and pattern, creating a large road contact area and increasing service life by 30%, Vredestien reports. Learn more at www.vredestein.com

Yokohama

Yokohama Off-Highway Tires has upgraded the performance of its Alliance 885 line of agricultural tires with new configurations for 850/50R30.5 and 710/40R22.5 models, popular on manure tankers, spreaders, and sprayers.

The Alliance 885 tires feature a curved-lug tread pattern with great traction, quick self-cleaning, rounded shoulders to minimize crop damage and soil ruts, and a dense centerline for road stability, according to the company. Steel-belted radial technology is a departure from bias ply.
