Bobcat partnership to advance electrification, autonomy technology

Bobcat Company has announced a partnership with Agtonomy to advance productivity in the agricultural industry.

Through the partnership, Bobcat and Agtonomy will be collaborating to enhance Bobcat's lineup of equipment with the goal of increasing productivity and performance. This includes the further development of electric-powered and autonomously operated equipment.

"Through this partnership with Agtonomy, we are identifying ways to make our customers more productive and efficient in their ag operations."

The Agtonomy platform was created to solve skilled labor shortages and increase efficiency in agriculture with autonomous equipment. The executive team is made up of veterans from the artificial intelligence, electric vehicles, cloud service, and agricultural industries.

Agtonomy Telefarmer

Earlier this year, Agtonomy unveiled the TeleFarmer by Agtonomy, a mobile app designed for specialty crop farmers. The app is intended to help farmers manage and monitor their farms through the use of a fully-electric reference tractor. Farmers can remotely plan and implement tasks like in-row spraying, open-field mowing, and transporting harvested crops.

Agronomy is based in San Francisco and Sonoma county, California, with venture backing from GV, Toyota Ventures, Flybridge, Momenta, Village Global, Cavallo Ventures, and Mirae Asset Venture Investment, among others.
