The six-passenger utility vehicle includes more than 100 improved features based on feedback from owners. With the best towing and payload capacity of its class, the Polaris Ranger Crew XP 1000 is ready to work. "The all-new Ranger Crew XP 1000 embodies our ongoing commitment to improving the owner experience and surpassing their lifestyle needs," says Chris Musso, president of off-road vehicles, Polaris. "This machine delivers an unparalleled balance of capability and comfort, offering the ultimate solution for any job that requires more people and more gear." Farm and Ranch Ready Payload capacity is 1,750 pounds. The cargo bed dimensions are 36×54×11 inches. It can hold up to 1,000 pounds and has four tie-down points. Levers on each side of the cargo box make the manual dump easy to operate. The UTV outtows the closest competitor by 500 pounds, with a capacity of 2,500 pounds. It is equipped with a standard 2-inch hitch receiver. The gas tank has a 10-gallon capacity. Prepared for Passengers The Ranger Crew XP 1000 can safely seat up to six people. An adjustable driver's seat comes standard but is not available on the Polaris Pursuit camo edition. Tilt steering is also a standard feature. Front and rear passengers have an extra 5 inches of clearance in the 2019 Ranger Crew, making riders of all sizes more comfortable. With 19 gallons in cab storage space, passengers will have room to store tools and gear. A double glove box keeps items safe, while eight cupholders secure drinks and small tools. Both front and rear passenger seats flip up to create additional space when not in use. For the first time, under-seat pass-through space allows operators to haul longer items. Thicker, more durable seats make the UTV more comfortable for long rides. Features The improved machine is equipped with an 82-hp. ProStar 1000 engine. The four-stroke twin cylinder DOHC has a displacement of 999-cc and is liquid cooled. The heavy-duty automatic PVT clutch system has been completely redesigned. Operators can select between the high-performance on-demand true all-wheel drive, two-wheel drive, or VersaTrac Turf Mode. The UTV has 27-inch, six-ply tires designed to handle rough terrain. It features 13 inches of ground clearance, leading the class. Ranger Crew-specific, dual A-arm shocks deliver 11 inches of suspension travel. Four-wheel hydraulic disc brakes with dual-bore front and rear calipers make up the braking system. A press statement from Polaris touts the toughness, strength, and durability of the Ranger Crew XP 1000. The one-piece chassis is more rigid than previous models. A full-body skid plate and sealed suspension bushings protect the machine. With a 10% tighter turning radius compared with older models and standard electronic power steering, the driver has more control to navigate tight spaces. A 2-inch LCD display and analogue gauge show important information like speed, gear, and fuel level. The instrumentation panel also has a DC outlet. Extras and Accessories Farmers and ranchers in places that experience extreme temperatures will appreciate the upgrades offered by the Ranger Crew XP 1000 Northstar HVAC edition. This UTV comes with a heating and an air conditioning system factory-installed as well as the premium Ranger Pro Shield cab system. The new gaskets and bigger sealing surfaces help keep dust out and the ideal temperature in. Front and rear cab ventilation creates comfortable airflow. Polaris claims its cab system has three times better dust protection compared with competitors' factory options. Polaris offers more than 200 accessories for a number of work and recreation applications. Price and Availability The 2019 Ranger Crew XP 1000 will be available late April 2018 through dealers around the country. The UTV is offered in sage green, sunset red metallic, and Polaris Pursuit camo. Pricing starts at $16,299. Polaris offers a standard one-year factory warranty.
