Successful Farming's Editorial Guidelines Published on November 18, 2021 Close Photo: Case IH Case IH is expanding its lineup of self-propelled application equipment with three new models in the Patriot 50 series sprayer family. The Patriot 3250, 4350, and 4450 are especially designed to be comfortable to operate, offer complete vehicle control, and have more technology than ever before. "Today's growers and ag retailers are looking for complete vehicle control and dependable features to enhance their productivity," says marketing manager Mark Burns. "That's why we completely redesigned every detail of the Patriot 50 series sprayer to deliver next-level efficiency along with an unmatched day-to-day operator experience." Case IH Operator comfort and control from the cab The MultiControl armrest layout used in current-model Steiger and Magnum tractors is now a feature of the Patriot 50 series sprayers, too. The MultiFunction handle in this design keeps commonly used controls at operators' fingertips. READ MORE: A peek at the new Case IH AFS Connect Steiger These Patriot sprayers come standard with two customizable displays – the Advanced Farming Systems (AFS) Pro 1200 and the Viper 4+. These screens give operators space to display the information important to them as they manage the machine and the product they're applying. The AFS Pro 1200 enables chassis monitoring and control while the Viper 4+ is used to access auto guidance solutions and control product. The sprayer's 4-bar linkage chassis suspension system is designed to deliver superior ride quality and stability, offering 8 inches of total suspension travel. Axle adjustment options enable the axle track width to be adapted to field conditions and terrain. Longtime Case IH customers will notice the styling of these machines has been changed with redesigned front and rear hoods. Enhanced LED lighting packages are available for easier, and safer, operation after dark. Every Patriot 50 series sprayer includes a front hood-, cab-, and tank-mounted lighting, plus a center-section beacon light. Optional factory-installed blue-lens spray pattern lights offer increased visibility of your application and nozzles. Case IH Easy tendering and maintenance Designed with in-field uptime in mind, these Patriot 50 series models have a one-stop service center, ground-level connections, and an open architecture design. A tip-wash station offers an air nozzle and water outlet for easy spray tip clean off. Case IH Spay booms and application technology Sprayer booms are available in width options from 60/90 to 69/135 feet. The boom's parallel-link suspension design delivers stable application, even over uneven terrain, Case IH says. "These booms pack superior strength without excessive weight and seamlessly incorporate technology options to maximize application accuracy and efficiency," says Burns. "In addition, a wide range of boom width sections means there's an option that best fits you application needs." AccuBoom automatic boom section control can be managed through the Viper 4+ display. This feature automatically turns off boom sections when the sprayer crosses into an area that has already been sprayed. When the machine leaves the applied area, boom sections turn back on. Optional AIM Command FLEX II advanced spray technology can be added to Patriot 50 series sprayers to enable individual nozzle on/off control, improving application accuracy and efficiency. This technology offers six modes to optimize application rates and droplet sizes for consistent application, even over varying speed and ground conditions. This upgrade includes enhanced nozzle control valves that are higher-flow-capable, so operators can apply more product, or at higher speeds. Optional AutoBoom XRT automatic boom height control can also be added to Patriot 50 series sprayers. This upgrade detects and accommodates terrain changes for accurate and effective spray coverage. Guidance technology AFS Connect and Raven Slingshot guidance help operators maximize productivity, giving them access to guidance, data, and monitoring solutions. Patriot 50 series sprayers come with a five-year subscription to the AFS Connect farm management portal with the power to create prescriptions, visualize data, and track machines. When equipped with RS1 or SC1 guidance options, farmers and ag retailers can take advantage of a five-year Slingshot Gold Package subscription. "We're driven to deliver a range of connected solutions and options to provide endless opportunities for an operation – whether you're running a single Patriot 50 series sprayer or a fleet of them," Burns said. "We want to make sure operators and their machines are set up for the tasks at hand, so they can take on the day as efficiently as possible." Case IH Patriot price and availability Orders are open now for the Patriot 3250, 4350, and 4450 with delivery slated for fall 2022.
