TruAdvice

SmaxTex

Using the company’s bolus-based health system, SmaXtec has launched TruAdvice. Powered by artificial intelligence, TruAdvice incorporates high-quality data from hundreds of thousands of cows, along with analysis from research institutions, veterinarians, and industry experts. SmaXtec uses this data to provide highly accurate probability measurement of mastitis to the producer – with notification delivered several days before clinical symptoms are even visible. The technology continually learns and adapts, enabling producers to interpret data more effectively and efficiently. For larger operations, TruAdvice is proving invaluable in assisting less-experienced farm employees to provide optimal care for cows, offering actionable recommendations for mastitis cases. The information can be accessed via smartphone through the SmaXtec app dashboard.

AjiPro-Health

AJIpro

Ajinomoto is introducing AjiPro-Health, a service that screens dairy cows using a simple blood test. The blood test determines the probability of occurrence of peripartum diseases by measuring amino acids and liver enzymes blood level three weeks before calving. Cows with disease risk are identified by analyzing farm data. Identified cows are tested once at 21 days pre-fresh, using a provided blood screening analyzer. When cows are at risk, lysine is added to the feed to cows during the close-up period. High-risk cows identified by the blood screening are individually treated based on advice from your veterinarian. The company says the addition of rumen-protected lysine to cows in the close up can reduce the incidence of peripartum diseases by 80%, increase milk production by 2.6 pounds per day for each cow at risk of metabolic disorders, and on average reduce the days open of high-risk cows by 16 days.

Reproduction Insights

Reproduction Insights is a new DairyComp and MyDC on Pulse feature available through the VAS Pulse Platform that brings real-time insights for more accessible and precise reproduction management. Reproduction Insights allows for point-and-click accessibility of reproduction key performance indicators (KPI), including conception rate, pregnancy risk, days in milk at first breeding, missed breedings, voluntary waiting period, service rate, services per conception, and abortion rate. The main dashboard shows KPIs in an overview format. Specific KPI data can be accessed to view performance trends in graph and table formats. Data can be filtered by cows and heifers. KPI thresholds can be set up to measure performance against expectations.

CowManager updated dashboard

CowManager

CowManager unveiled new functionality to its herd monitoring system. A new integrated dashboard converts collected cow data into graphs and alerts that are available in an instant in a single overview. The dashboard integrates CowManager’s updated “insemination moment”, which displays a cow’s expected optimal insemination time. Producers can create a personalized overview using the drag-and-drop feature. This allows them to develop their own personal home screen to match priorities and working methods. The customized screen can be set as the default home page. Producers can also easily request free trial periods of inactive modules.
