Rogers is also creating a YouTube channel for his students to share their SAE (supervised agricultural experience) projects while they are out of school. "We'll also include videos of students showing their hobbies, skills, or whatever they are doing to keep busy during this time," he says. The list Rogers shared with his students includes: All Around Ag: Take a virtual reality agricultural field trip or link to the rest of the Ag in the Classroom database. "Our chapter has used Ag in the Classroom many times for lessons from kindergarten through grade 12," Rogers says. "There are plenty of premade materials and hands-on activities." This site also offers a range of educational games. Animal Science: Rogers recommends the virtual dissection labs from STEAM Powered Family and videos that cover introduction materials for swine and beef from Iowa State University Extension. Agronomy: For videos and resources related to crops and soils, Rogers recommends Ag PhD. Ag Business: Market to Market from Iowa Public Television offers several videos related to markets and how they are being impacted by current events. FFA/Career/SAE: Rogers recommends Ag Explorer from FFA for virtual field trips that highlight career opportunities in agriculture. The FFA.org video center also offers videos highlighting how students can get involved in FFA, improve or start their SAE projects, or find inspiration from past keynote speakers and retiring national officers. Welding: Students who love welding but don't have access to a welder at home might enjoy this simple, short welding game. Rogers says there are other welding simulator apps available for Android and Apple. Was this page helpful? Thanks for your feedback! Tell us why! Other Submit
