For farmers with limited space on their grain bin site, GSI is now offering new bend sections of 30° or 45° for its VersaLoop round tube chain conveyors. These angled designs provide more flexibility to maximize the space and efficiency of on-farm grain handling systems. Tube diameters are available in diameters of 8, 10, and 12 inches.

"These bend sections provide the ability to load in a horizontal position rather than on an incline, offering more flexibility in site design and conserving valuable space within the grain site," says Adam Mussman, product manager for GSI.

In addition to saving space, loading in a horizontal position has the potential to require less horsepower to move the grain than a straight incline position.

Simple to Service

The new bend sections were designed with serviceability in mind. "There are no moving parts in the bend section, improving wear and requiring very little maintenance," Mussman says. "Any parts considered wear items are easily replaced."

The new VersaLoop conveyor also utilizes a similar style of hold down as a chain conveyor bend section, and cleanout doors are located on each side of the bend section for easy inspection or cleanout in the off-season.

The modular design of VersaLoop allows it to be used in a variety of applications to maximize farm efficiency and profitability. It has a capacity of up to 10,000 bushels per hour, and uses high-performance plastic paddles to gently move grain.
