A skid steer loader's claim to fame is its ability to fit into tight spaces. And, of course, many models can reach incredible heights. Now, manufacturers are taking these skid steer features and others to an advanced level.

Mustang 3300V skid steer loader

The new Model 3300V Skid Steer Loader from Mustang features a Yanmar Tier III 84-hp., 215-ft.-lb. turbocharged diesel engine, which provides extra power to handle the toughest jobs. This machine has a rated operating capacity of 3,300 pounds.

The vertical-lift boom offers enhanced stability and more than 131 inches of lift height for easy truck loading and material handling. The heavily constructed boom allows for considerable forward reach at trailer loading and dumping heights.

The extra-long wheelbase and new chassis design enhance stability and provide excellent weight distribution.

Stay comfortable while working in the ergonomically designed cab. The joystick pilot control system, which is standard, is available in a hands-only version or hand/foot pattern.

The electronic engine control and foot throttle can be operated at partial throttle to reduce sound levels and fuel consumption.

A standard rear bumper/counterweight offers enhanced load capacity, rear protection, and also tow hitch.

Gehl V330 skid loader

Gehl's latest introduction, the V330 Skid Loader, has more than 131 inches of near-vertical lift height. With a powerful 84-hp. turbocharged diesel Yanmar engine and a rated operating capacity of 3,300 pounds, this machine is among the strongest in its class.

"This loader provides the exceptional lift height and performance that customers demand from a machine this size," says Kelly Moore, product manager for Gehl Skid Loaders.

Equipped with electronic engine control and a foot throttle, the V330 can be operated at partial throttle. The workload allows for lower sound levels and reduced fuel consumption.

A new ergonomic cab design and fully adjustable joystick controls give greater comfort. An optional, pressurized sealed cab enclosure provides a cleaner and quieter operating environment. The side-folding restraint bar and armrests feature multiple adjustments to further enhance comfort and safety.

The bucket cutting edge and the front work area are easily visible because of the extra-large side screen and optional wide-view front glass door.

Unique to the V330 Skid Loader, the Hydraglide Ride Control System is featured as standard equipment.

Servicing the loader is a snap. The large engine cover is hinged and positioned by a gas spring to assist in lifting and holding it in place. Once service is complete, the cover easily returns to the closed position. The large rear door opens on hinges on the right side, allowing full access to regular maintenance points.
