Ag-Bag has introduced the T7060 and T7170 Ag-Baggers with new features built around extensive input from customers and dealers.

Since acquiring the Ag-Bag line in 2019, RCI Engineering has focused on transforming the product design. The result is a machine designed with more capacity, higher density forage compaction, easier serviceability, and more convenient transport.

"Our goal is to build on the industry leadership that Ag-Bag has achieved to make this product line perform more profitably for forage producers and livestock operations," said Randy Clark, founder and CEO of RCI Engineering. "And we've made a strong commitment to back that up with exceptional parts and service support."

Efficient bagging

Ag-Bag's long-standing key feature has been its patented low rotor position that fills bags more uniformly with upward flow. The T-Series Ag-Baggers introduce a number of improvements to this formula including a revolutionary rotor with more than double the number of teeth of previous models and a new pattern to improve capacity and bag density.

A single, 12-inch-wide conveyor helps deliver more crop to match the increased capacity of the upgraded rotor. The new forage distributor spreads forage more evenly over the rotor for fasting loading and higher capacity. Longer tunnel extensions on the bagger yield greater compaction and forage density.

Ease of use

Serviceability and ease of operation on the T-Series models are also improved. At the operator station, all machine controls are in one place, and it provides easy access for servicing upkeep. This station also includes a grease gun bracket with grease fitting bank for the entire machine, oil bracket to store lubrication for chain maintenance, easy to open shields for chain inspection, and an integrated toolbox for convenience and storage.

Transport for the ag-bagger has been improved as well. The new hitch design has changed towing direction, placing the tunnel on the side of the road providing better visibility for safer travel.

Standard on the T7170, an integrated hydraulic lift system saves the operator time when changing between transport and operation modes. Also exclusive to this model is a hydraulic sweeping tunnel cleanout.

With all these improvements to the Ag-Bagger formula, RCI Engineering was awarded a 2022 AE50 award from the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers (ASABE) for the T-Series line. Each year, the judges for ASABE select 50 of the most innovative products that best advance engineering for the food and agriculture industries. This marks the first AE50 award for RCI Engineering.

"The AE50 Awards are among our industry's highest achievements, and we are very proud and honored to be recognized for our engineering and innovation with this 2022 AE50 award," said Clark. "The T-Series Ag-Baggers represent a clear focus in engineering and technology enhancements to provide the very best Ag-Bag machine to our forage customers globally. We are very proud of our team for their customer-first focus and their dedication to dairy, beef, and forage producers."
