Solutions sought in climate-smart agriculture

The World Agri-Tech Innovation Summit is looking for seed stage start-ups to pitch at its pre-summit Pitch Day on March 21, 2022.

Solutions sought in climate-smart agriculture

Are you a seed stage start-up with a climate-smart solution that increases profitability and biodiversity or enhances resiliency and reduces emissions in agriculture? If so, the World Agri-Tech Innovation Summit wants to hear from you.

The organization is looking for innovators developing technology in areas like sustainable inputs, seeds/genomics, monitoring/sensing/analytics, precision applications/irrigation, crop/farm management, fintech/marketplaces, and automation/robotics.

Ten innovators will be selected from the pool of applicants to pitch their solutions to five seasoned investors as well as an invited audience of agri-food corporates, venture capitalists, and industry experts at the pre-summit Pitch Day held on March 21, 2022, at the San Francisco Marriott Marquis.

The top 10 will then be narrowed down to one start-up, who will present at the World Agri-Tech Innovation Summit on March 22 and 23 in San Francisco, California.

"The World Agri-Tech Pitch Day provides ambitious start-ups with an opportunity to be seen by corporate leaders and investors, and to make strategic connections that could dramatically scale their operations," says Abigail Ryder, program director for the World Agri-Tech Innovation Series. "We look forward to hearing from a diverse range of global innovators addressing core issues faced by agriculture."
