Farmers can choose between single finishing reels, or double finishing reels for heavier, moist soil. Both options can be built with round or flat bars. Rolling spike harrows to create a level seedbed, and chopper reels to bury residue are also available. Both models are compatible with Great Plains’ Implement Command system which allows operators to set, adjust, and monitor the implement in real time from the tractor cab. The two models have similarities, but Jennings highlighted the HT1110’s versatility, while customers looking for “true” vertical tillage should go with the VT1110. VT1110 Turbo-Max Great Plains The VT1110 Turbo-Max is built to aid in vertical tillage, including making improvements to soil health, water infiltration, and nutrient absorption, as well as creating high-quality seedbeds. Farmers can choose between 20-inch Turbo blades for heavily textured or rocky soil, or optional 22-inch blades for lighter soils with a working depth greater than 3 inches. The gang angles are hydraulically adjustable from 0° to 6°. HT1110 Terra-Max Great Plains The HT1110 Terra-Max is designed for versatility as a hybrid tillage tool, capable of variable-intensity tillage and adapting to seasonal conditions. The implement’s 20-inch TurboSpeed blades are spaced 7.5 inches apart, and have a scalloped profile to drive through soil. The front gangs are hydraulically adjustable from 0° to 8°, and rear gangs adjust proportionally from 0° to 6°. Availability The VT1110 Turbo-Max and HT1110 Terra-Max tillage tools will begin production this summer with delivery expected in the fall.
