We discussed how FFA helped bring Thompson back to agriculture, teaching kids about farming, and how the COVID-19 pandemic prompted her to begin selling beef directly to consumers. Thompson worked in the financial industry after college when the FFA experience listed on her resume prompted an employer to offer her a job in ag banking. Today, she leads the Ag in the Classroom program for the local Farm Bureau, where she serves as a guest teacher, supplementing lesson plans with projects and activities that relate to agriculture.
