Project Overview
- Working Time: 3 hours
Worn poly buckets found a new life holding a wealth of fasteners for farmer Eric Fick of Beaver Creek, Minnesota. He recycled used leg buckets fastened to scrap lumber to create a massive bolt bin.
The great thing about this hack is bolts, nuts, and other knickknacks are easily identified and readily retrieved from the elevator cups. Eric also told us he was able to pitch a lot of boxes and bags cluttering his shop, thanks to this organizer.

- Attach the used elevator bucket to ¾-inch plywood backed by 2x4 lumber for extra strength, or use any 2x material (2x6, 2x8, etc.)
- Optional: If you have leftover paint, put on coats for a clean look.
- Mount buckets in evenly spaced rows with deck screws matted with washers. Any appropriate screw or bolt fastener would work to do the mounting.
