After years of working as a large-animal veterinarian in rural Virginia, Dr. Melinda McCall shares her funniest and most heart-wrenching stories in a new memoir, “Driving Home Naked and Other Misadventures of a Country Veterinarian.” 

We had a quick conversation about her book, the challenges she has faced in a male-dominated field, the importance of mentors, and mental health concerns for veterinarians.
