Successful Farming's Editorial Guidelines Updated on November 15, 2023 Close Photo: Milwaukee Tool Milwaukee Tool has introduced the new M18 Fuel 17-inch Dual Battery String Trimmer, designed to deliver torque comparable to professional gas and battery string trimmers. To meet high performance demands exceeding the power of a similar sized 35cc gas-powered trimmer, according to Milwaukee, the M18 string trimmer requires the use of two M18 RedLithium 18 volt lithium ion batteries. With batteries however, the trimmer doesn’t need pull starts or engine maintenance to operate. The trimmer has a cutting swath ranging from 15 to 17 inches, and features an easy-load trimmer head with line diameter options at .080, .095, and .105 inches. It also has a variable speed trigger, running at a maximum of either 4,900 or 6,200 RPM. Milwaukee’s RedLink Plus Intelligence technology enables the trimmer to hit full throttle in under one second. It’s equipped with Milwaukee’s Powerstate brushless motor to hit up to 2.5 Nm of torque at 2.4 hp while maintaining RPM in demanding applications. The new trimmer is also compatible with the rest of Milwaukee’s M18 series, which now includes over 250 different products. Milwaukee notes the trimmer is recommended for use with M18 RedLithium High Output batteries, and optimized for use with two M18 RedLithium High Output XC 8.0 battery packs. Availability Milwaukee Tool The M18 Fuel 17-inch Dual Battery String Trimmer will be available as a bare tool for $399. A complete kit will be available for $699 with the string trimmer, two M18 8.0Ah batteries, M18 dual bay battery charger, shoulder strap, and a 25-foot .080 string trimmer line. The new trimmer will be available to order starting in December. For more information, visit www.MilwaukeeTool.com. Was this page helpful? Thanks for your feedback! Tell us why! Other Submit
